08 Aug Back to brewing after a holiday and we’re looking forward to The Brooklyn Brewery Mash in Gothenburg – Weekly Brewery Update
In this week’s brewery update we welcome back half the brewery staff, who immediately get back to brewing, and we’re looking forward to joining our friends The Brooklyn Brewery, Dugges Ale och Porterbryggeri, Stigbergets Bryggeri, Nya Carnegiebryggeriet and E.C. Dahls Bryggeri on 1-2 September, for The Brooklyn Brewery Beer Mansion Gothenburg.
Brewers gonna brew.
Welcome back gentlemen.
A short vacation for some and a longer one for others. But on Monday we welcomed half the brewery staff back to the brewery, and they immediately started doing what they love doing… brew beer. We have a very busy schedule, and Richard gets the job of juggling the brew schedule with half the staff.
Next week it’ll be business as usual as we welcome the rest of the staff back and get down to a brewery running at full pace again. #goodtimes 🙂
There’s a new beer in the works, but more on that soon.

2017’s best San Diego craft beer isn’t an IPA.
The IPA trend is a global one for sure. It’s what most Crafty Breweries would call their cash cows. The public wants it, so why not brew it. Hopefully however, things are changing. A Sessionable Stout won a popular San Diego craft beer recently, beating out a crowded field of IPAs. The word “session beer” does differ from place to place or country to country, but generally speaking it means a beer that you can drink for a whole session. This usually includes low ABV beers.
“Benchmark Brewing’s Oatmeal Stout, 4.5 percent alcohol by volume, is also a winner of several Great American Beer Fest awards: a Gold in the Session Beer category in 2014 and a silver in the same one in 2014.”
“Benchmark Brewing is run by Rachael and Matt Akin, and has brewed in Allied Gardens since 2013. Their motto, “beer flavored beer” challenges the trends that many other local breweries chase.”
The Beerbliotek Tap Room 🙂
We had a great time at our Tap Room this weekend. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and had some beer. Personally I showed our Tap Room to my neighbours and gave them a tour and a tasting. Remember that we have private tastings and tours for groups of 15 or more, and if you’d like to book, then email email@example.com 🙂
We also have a lot of beers that have been waiting in the fermentation tanks, for the brewery staff to return from vacation. We’ll have one new beer at the Tap Room in two weeks time. Don’t miss out. You can also follow the Tap Room on Facebook for more info.
That’s it for this week, until next week.
Folköl (Low ABV Beers)
On our Folköl page you can see our entire assortment, as well as the Stores & Supermarkets, such as ICA & Hemköp that stock them across Sweden. When our Tap Room is open every second weekend, you can also come past to buy them directly from us. We always have a 4-pack or 6-pack available.
If you’d like to get hold of our beers from the distributors, then get in touch, and we’ll link them up with you. If you’re keen to distribute our beer in your country, then get in touch, and we can discuss possibilities with you.
