We release our latest IPA, as well as our new Super Larsson collaboration plus we celebrated West Pride – Weekly Brewery Update

In this week’s brewery update we release two new IPAs. First up is a New England IPA “Colonial Hipster”, all hazy and fruity, followed by our second collaboration with The Red Lion and Restaurant 2112 called “Super Larsson World”. There’s also some photos from the weekend Tap list, in case you missed it.

Our philosophy has always been to brew new beers. It’s where we get our name from, a library of beers. Up to date we have brewed more than forty IPAs. This New England IPA is number 41 if I’m not mistaken.

West Coast IPAs are the most widely known, but another version has recently been making a strong case for more recognition, the New England IPA.

Whereas you have a light and dry mouthfeel with West Coast IPAs, New England IPAs are purposely hazy or even cloudy, which tend to give the brews a smooth, creamy mouthfeel, there’s little to no hop bitterness at the end, with the use hops that impart a tropical, juicy sweetness rather than the classic bitter or citrus flavours you may be used to in West Coast IPAs.

When we started out as a brewery four years ago we did get some slack for our cloudy beers, but now all of a sudden it’s not a problem anymore. That’s why we hope you’ll like our poem 🙂

In the early days,
there was no place for haze,
but without delay,
it became all the rage.
No filters get used,
no palates abused,
a beer for all,
not just colonial hipster dudes.

Super Larsson World. A Fresh collaboration.

Collaborations may just as well be our middle name. We’ve done more than we can count, but who wants to count in any case?

This time we teamed up again with our friends from The Red Lion and Restaurant 2112. There’s two brothers that work at these pubs and their surname is Larsson, so the first collaboration was called “Super Larsson Bros.”, that’s why we decided to keep with the theme and call this one “Super Larsson World”.

The beers are totally different, whereas the first collaboration was released during winter, this collaboration is a summer beer. It’s fruity and fresh. We hope everyone goes to these pubs for some great food and to try this latest version of Super Larsson World.

Beerbliotek Tap Room. It was another great weekend.

At Beerbliotek we have a lot of passion 🙂

This past weekend we had our Tap Room open again, the usual Friday and Saturday times. This time we had two new beers on tap for the first time. First up was “No Style without Substance”, our very first Cascadian Dark Ale, and that was followed by, “Super Larsson World”, which was also released both at Restaurant 2112 and The Red Lion.

The rest of the list was filled with our latest fresh beer, some old favourites and then for the first time, the opportunity to taste the two Passion Berliners side by side. Both of them will be available at Systembolaget over the summer so don’t miss out. Our Tap Room will be open again on the 7th and 8th of July.

And finally

A can of "A Passion for Strawberry Blondes", our Berliner Weisse with Passion Fruit and Strawberries on the day of West Pride in Gothenburg.

This past weekend it was also West Pride here in Gothenburg. And as always we celebrated in the street. We thought that our Berliner Weisse “A Passion for Strawberry Blondes” was the perfect beer for the occasion.

That’s it from this week. Until next week, keep well.
