Collabs, New Beers, a can of Whoop Ass and the Art of Going All In – Weekly Brewery Update

Busy week, where we released no less than three new beers, including a can of Whoop Ass, brewed a collab with Norwegian brewery Cervisiam, and will end off the week at the All In Beer Fest.

Two New Sours from our Sockerbruket Sour Brewery

We’ve said before… running two breweries is not easy. But we are fortunately to have two, of which one of them is used exclusiveöly for sour beer.

So far we have only released one sour beer, called “Sour Berry Quite Contrary“. And as fate would have it, we won a bronze medal at the Gothenburg Beer and Whisky Festival in the Sours category. That means the heat is on for our two head brewers Adam and Richard.

This weekend we will be releasing numbers two and three from the Sour Brewery. The first is a Brett IPA, with the appropriate name “Hey you in the bushes“, whilst the other is another berry surprise, called “Don’t Touch me ’cause I’m Eclectic“, where we created a sour with Strawberries, Raspberries and Lactose sugar.

They will be on tap at the All In Beer Festival on Saturday.

Eternal Dankness batch 2

Eternal Dankness was first released at the All In Beer Festival 2015. So it’s been exactly a year, and we thought it would be good to brew it again, and take batch 2 with us to the festival again. It goes on tap on the Friday session, and it tastes delicious.

We’ve also changed this to go into cans, instead of bottles, and with that we thought we might as well update the label to fit in with the other Double IPAs.

Bobek Citra, a Peach of a Pale Ale

Bobek Citra has been with us since the start. It’s #05. Since then we’ve added 170 different beers to our beer library. We have been doing version of some of our beers. Eternal Darkness Imperial Stout has been into Bourbon Barrels, Single Hop Mosaic got Apricots, and Bobek Citra got Peach.

The beer base is the same, but we’ve been experimenting with fruit and other additions, to see how we can develop as a brewery. For the next version, we’ve been thinking about Bobek Citra Coffee.

Now you can open a can of Whoop Ass!

For our fourth collaboration with All In Brewing, we settled on a low alcohol Berliner with Orange Peel. We called it Whoop Ass, cause it’s in a can, and delivers a punch.

It’s on 3,5%. In Sweden that is the magic number which allows breweries to sell the product themselves to consumers. If it lands on 3,6% or higher, you may only sell to consumers via the state owned liquor store Systembolaget.

Cervisiam Collab is all about OJ

Collaborations are an integral part of our brewing philosophy. This time we collaborated with the Norwegian brewery Cervisiam. We’re not letting out any secrets of what we’ve brewed, except that it’s all about OJ,

Going All In, at All In

The All In Beer Fest is one of our favourite beer festivals. This one is arranged by our good friends at ALL IN BREWING. Great Beer Maker’s vegetarian brunch with our friends at Tapasbaren

After the busy week two weeks ago, we ended off the Sunday with a feast. It was our second Beer Maker’s Brunch, help at Tapasbaren, just a few hundred metres from the brewery. It was a total vegetarian affair, which seemed to scare off a few people, but believe us, the food was awesome. We’re planning the next one early in the new year, so stay tuned if you don’t want to miss out.

Further down you can link to our webshop, if you’d like to get your hands on a limited edition Sabotage T-Shirt, which is in collaboration with O|O Brewing. We’ll also be releasing that Black IPA at the festival this weekend.

That’s it from us for this week. Now we’re off to enjoy some great beers at the All In Beer Fest. See you there.

Take care, until next week.
