01 Apr Hello from Malmö Beer and Whisky Festival – Weekly Update
This week we’re writing our update from the Malmö Beer and Whisky Festival. The place is packed, the music is playing and the beer is flowing.
It’s still early hours and we’ve had a good turnout of people so far, but notice that this isn’t our own back yard of Gothenburg, where more people know us. If you’re in Malmö, get down to the festival and come and say hi. We’ve taken all of our new cans with us, three beers on bottle and six on tap.
- Single Hop Mosaic – IPA
- Session IPA – Citra & Motueka Hops
- Bobek Citra – American Pale Ale
- Hip Hops – IPA
- What’s the difference between Marmalade & Jam? – Raspberry & Mint Berliner
- A Passion for Gingers – Passionfruit & Ginger Berliner
- Golden Sour – Sour Mashed IPA
- Hip Hops – IPA
- Eternal Darkness – Imperial Stout
- Sweason – Fruit Saison
- More Bang for your Bock – Bock
- Cash Cow Brewing – Minimum Wage
- Cash Cow Brewing – High Roller
So we hope to see you tomorrow at the festival in Malmö. More good news on festivals, is that we have also added Kalmar Beer Festival to our list of festivals for 2016. Below there’s some more information on the dates, and how to get hold of your tickets.
A reminder from last week about the two new events we’ll be having during the Gothenburg Beer Week. The first is a Vegetarian Beer Makers Dinner which has only two places left, followed the next day by Beerbliotek & Ska Brewing’s Ska Party which has space for 120 people. Read below for more information.
Last week we also released a new beer, called “More Bang for your Bock“. Read below some more about it.
Now it’s time to get back to the festival here in malmö.
Have a great weekend.
More Bang for your bock
Our first Bock ever. This dark amber style Lager is brewed especially for Easter. Lightly hopped, with a balanced addition of Orange peel, it delivers a stronger, malt forward beer with a bang!
For those that are waiting to ask, the answer is no… this beer is not going to Systembolaget. For all the beers we have at Systembolaget, have a look at our Systembolaget page.
As we’re moving into summer here in Sweden or the northern hemisphere to be more exact, we’re expecting cans to be great travel companions, great in a park or great on a boat. Why not tag your photos with #BeerbliotekCans, so we can follow your can beer drinking summer vacation.
On Instagram triplealehead has showed what he’s up to with our cans.
Vegetarian Beer Makers Dinner.
Only four tickets left.
A five course vegetarian dinner prepared by the one and only Styrbjörn Såtvik at Björns Bar, whilst the matching beer for each course has been chosen by Beerbliotek’s head brewer Adam Norman.

Beerbliotek and SKA Brewing’s SKA Party!
Ska Brewing will be in town for the Gothenburg Beer Week and we took the opportunity to kidnap them for a night. Why not join us for the night at our Kungsten Brewery? There will be music, food, beer and friends, which guarantees a good time.
Get more information on the Event’s page on our website.
Haket Beer Festival 2016.
This event is fully booked, but for those with tickets, we’re looking forward to meeting you all, along with the other 20 breweries that will be there for the day.

Växjö Beer Festival on the 9th of April
Actually Anders will again make his way to Växjö. Which beers he’s brining with him is still not clear, but there will definitely be one or two surprises.
For more information on the festival, have a look at their website.
Kalmar Beer Festival on the 6th – 7th May
Kalmar Beer Festival is also on our list for festivals this year, so we hope we see you there.

Copenhagen Beer Celebration 13-14 May 2016
We’re happy to announce that we have been invited to this year’s Copenhagen Beer Celebration, held on the 13th and 14th of May. The beers we’re taking with us are still in the works and they will be announced closer to the time. So watch this space.
Looking for low alcohol beers? Or as we say in Sweden Folköl.
On our website, you can have a look at a map, where you can see which stores, such as ICA & Hemköp already stock our beer. Below you can see the three beers we have in stock.
