We brewed a batch of GBG Beer Week 2017, A Moment of Clarity, and celebrate a year of cans. – Weekly Brewery Update
This past week we brewed our version of the GBG Beer Week beer 2017. We had a lot of people walking through the brewery and watching the process first hand, while we’re getting ready to celebrate one year of cans.
One year of cans.
It was a very strategic decision for our brewery to move into cans. Next Wednesday it would be exactly one year since we canned the first Single Hop Mosaic cans at our Kungssten Brewery. We planned to do four different version at first, and midway through 2016 we added labelled cans to our collection.
The labelled cans have allowed us to do very small batches in cans. Pre-printed cans need a 50 000 minimum order, and that’s a tough order to fill for a small craft brewery. The smallest batch we did in a can this last year was the Eternal Darkness Barrel Aged version. Just 200 litres. And since we added labelled cans to our packaging option we have done 21 other beers to our can collection.
We hope you enjoy our beers in cans, as you have in bottles. In the end the cans are better for the beer and better for the environment.
Brewing the GBG Beer Week 2017. A Moment of Clarity.
This year we were asked if we wanted to brew the official GBG Beer Week beer for 2017. It’s some big shoes to fill, if you take into account that the GBG Beer Week beer for 2016 was rated as one of the top ten IPAs in the world.
Last week we brewed our version for the first time. It’s a Session IPA on 4,7%, and we called it “A Moment of Clarity”.
The release will be at the brewery on the 16th of March. Everyone is welcome to join us in tasting this beer at our Tap Room, before everyone else gets their hands on it the following day at all the pubs and restaurants and Systembolaget.
Doors open at 18h00 but if you are a Beerbliotek Members Club member, you can get it one hour before, at 17h00 (So there’s a good reason to join, right?). Read more about the event.

At Beerbliotek we have a passion for gingers.
During 2016, we decided to brew a Berliner. The first we have done. We called it “Berliner Wise-Guy”. That beer has then become the base beer for all the Berliners that were to follow.
“A Passion for Gingers” has a fruity & tangy flavour with hints of Passion Fruit, Lemon and Ginger.
It is available at Systembolaget in Sweden, so you can easily order it to your closest store. It was also our second Berliner in our range of Berliners, which is now up to 9 different styles and illustrations.
And finally
At the last count we’re exporting to fourteen countries, which means we get to see our products photographed in a myriad of different ways. A lot of people try and out-do the next person, and there’s some really creative photos out there.
On of our favourites is Beer Farts, on Instagram. Not just the photographs, but also the comments. Well worth following his beer adventures.
That’s it from us for this week. Until next week keep well.
🙂
