Our 293rd recipe and 7th Brown Ale is American-style with zesty hops on the nose. It has a pronounced bitterness and underlying roasted and caramel maltiness. Hints of blueberries, sponge cake and coffee add to the depth of this well-balanced Ale.

This week we’re catching up with Richard Bull, one of the original founders of Beerbliotek who’s had a hand in most things throughout the brewery over the years. Nowadays he is guiding us through this crazy year while leading Beerbliotek towards greater things as our Managing Director.
This New Zealander got his first taste for Craft Beer when living in Scotland where he met the other original founder of Beerbliotek, Adam. His Craft beer journey truly began after sitting next to the canal as the sun went down drinking some crazy 14% Barrel Aged Stout at Brouwerij de Molen Borefts Beer Festival in 2011 is where he first thought this is what he wants to do with his life. You could say that moment was the very beginning of Beerbliotek.

He made his way here starting out as an apprentice whilst studying Brewing technology, we liked him so much that he was hired immediately after and has become a mainstay in our brewery line up.

This week we are shining the light on Majorna Bryggeri, a small Swedish brewery with a passion for the culture and community in Craft beer, that led to becoming Gothenburg’s first Brewpub. As it happens, as of last weekend their brewery pub is now one year old. So on their one year anniversary, we met up with Johan Lundin to share our love of Gothenburg’s diverse beer culture, their idea behind introducing a brewpub to Sweden, and of course Supporting your locals.
