Brewery Updates

Fresh “Not Guilty” just packaged, more Passion for Sweden and a secret collab is on the way – Weekly Brewery Update

In this week’s brewery update we packaged a fresh batch of “Not Guilty! The Juice IPA”, we get ready to ship more Passion to Sweden via Systembolaget, and we show a glimpse of a very secret collaboration.

Fresh is the fresh.

Not Guilty! The Juice IPA, is our collaboration with Cervisiam Brewery in Norway. It was supposed to be a one-off brew, but after the feedback we received, we realised that in order to avoid a riot, we simply needed to brew it again 🙂

It has also been at Systembolaget in Sweden since April, and we’ve just packaged a new, very big batch. It will be shipping next week, so you will be able to get your hands on it if your store has run out. It’s also available to order on via Systembolaget.se

Hello Sweden. Blondes joining Gingers at Systembolaget.

A Passion for Gingers was the first of our Berliners to go to Systembolaget. Recently it has also moved from a bottle to a can. A Passion for Strawberry Blondes is our sixth Berliner Weisse, and apart from also moving from a bottle to a can, it will also be released at Systembolaget on the 1st of August.

We have recently had both of these beers at our Tap Room, so they can be tried side-by-side. Gingers, as we call it for short is a standard Berliner Weisse, with the addition of Passion Fruit and Ginger, whereas Strawberry Blondes has Passion Fruit and Strawberries in the mix.

We hope you’ll enjoy both, when they finally appear side by side at Systembolaget, or order them to your local store on the 1st of August.

You can also order all of our other beers at Systembolaget to your closest store if they are not available on the shelves.

Shhhhh… not saying a word.

We really can’t say more than wow… look at that colour. Stay tuned for more news on this exciting collaboration after midsummer.

Best before and batch numbers.

During the past month we’ve added a batch number to the bottom of the cans, next to the best before date. The batch number is just a rolling number of the beers we brew and has no connection to a specific style.

The best before date differs depending on the beer style. Most of our IPAs and Pale Ales have a nine month best before date from when it was packaged. Other beers like our Eternal Darkness Imperial Stout has a 5 year best before date.

Saying sorry.

Book of Records was the fourteenth beer to go into a can, instead of a bottle. And as with all things in a production line, sometimes there’s teething problems.

We have had some feedback from some consumers about some cans of Book of Records with the best before date 20211108, which have in fact exploded… and for that we have to apologise.

And finally. Happy Midsummer.

At the end of this week it is midsummer, which is the period of time centered upon the summer solstice, and more specifically the Northern European celebrations that accompany the actual solstice. Raising and dancing around a maypole is an activity that attracts families and many others. In Sweden we’ll be making crowns from wild flowers and dancing around the maypole to our favourite song about frogs.

Whatever you’re doing during this time, we hope you’ll be drinking some great craft beer, and enjoy spending time with your family and friends.

Until next week, keep well.

🙂
