We’re going to Nöjesguidens Ölmässa Gothenburg 2020.

For the third year in a row Nöjesguidens Ölmässa returns to Gothenburg and this time we’ll be joining them. Nöjesguidens are bringing some of Sweden’s best microbreweries together for a Beer Fair on February 15, 2020.

“The beer interest in Sweden has yeasted and bubbles in recent years, and above all we have seen a growing interest in craft beer. Now the Entertainment Guide Beer Fair, entirely focused on microbreweries, is back.” – Nöjesguiden

Nöjesguidens is Sweden’s largest free magazine in popular culture, featuring Art, Music, Fashion, Film, Food and Beer and so much more and has been driven since 1982. Keep up to date with what’s going on in Sweden and learn more about Nöjesguidens on their website.

What are you looking forward to in beer in 2020?

2020 looks really exciting. More export markets are opening up, which means more travel to fantastic places in the name of beer! These trips always lead to new friends, new beers and fun meetings. Of course, the development of new beers is always a challenge, and a very nice one. Expanding our already wonderful team will also be very interesting.

Which is your favourite beer right now?

Wow, good question! It is very difficult to say. When it comes to beer that we make, it’s probably our collaboration with Finback from New York called They’re playing our Song. Humble and alive, it is fantastic. If we look at one of our friends’ beers, I can never release Pivot Pils from O / O here in Gothenburg.

What challenges does the Swedish beer industry face?

Quality, reliability and consistency. We have seen a slight decline in the market here for the past 12 months or so. Partly because of natural selection, and partly because of consumers’ demands for high quality beer. Swedish breweries make among the best beers available, so in order to keep the consumer satisfied you have to maintain that quality.

What is the most fun thing about running a microbrewery in Sweden today?

From a Gothenburg perspective, it is mainly about the camaraderie – there is a lot of respect here. People are always willing to help each other and it creates a fantastic environment to develop and learn from.

What do you most look forward to at the Nöjesguidens beer fair in Gothenburg?

To serve fresh beer to the people in our hometown! We are away very much at festivals and events everywhere. So it’s always fun to stay home and still share our beer with people.

Interview with Adam and Madison by Sofia Rönnkvist, Nöjesguidens Gothenburg Editor

We are Beerbliotek

A Craft Brewery founded in Gothenburg (Sweden) by four friends from different parts of the world. Our brewing philosophy is simple… keep brewing new beers that we, ourselves, would want to drink.

Our name is derived from the Latin word bibliothēca, meaning library, or a collection of books. A Beerbliotek, for us, would then mean a beer library, or a collection of beer.
