Beer Release #329 Cold IPA – Collab with All In Brewing & Dealbreaker
Triple Collaboration with All In Brewing & Dealbreaker & Beerbliotek
Tibor from Dealbreaker (Hungary) and Pelle from All In Brewing (Sweden) came over to our brewery to take on the challenge of creating our own collaborative version of a Cold IPA. Inspired by Wayfinder’s (USA) “Wester than West Coast” original Cold IPA, we brewed this one with rice to keep it crisp, dry and crushable, and Lager yeast fermented warm for a cleaner finish.
The result is a super crisp, thirst quenching IPA, with big, punchy hop aromas and high bitterness. Dry hopped with Ekuanot T90 and Idaho 7 Cryo for extra hoppiness. Finishes crisp and clean, leaving you wanting more.
Style: American IPA
So, why brew a Cold IPA? What even is a Cold IPA? We ask Tibor the big question:
“The decision to make a Cold IPA idea came from Wayfinder’s original Cold IPA and their podcast episode “What even is a Cold IPA”. Without introducing a new yeast strain to their brewery, Wayfinder played to their strengths with experience in brewing Lager, and used a lager yeast strain, but at a higher temperature. To me, the style was interesting enough to brew my own take on it, even better as a collab.”
Tibor Rebák, Dealbreaker
Big thanks to Pelle and Tibor for creating this opportunity to brew something new and fun together. We can’t wait to see what you all think.
