Support your local Bars: Kyrkogatan 13
Help us strengthen the beer culture in Sweden, by actively supporting the restaurants and taverns that actively support Swedish craft breweries.
For cool and casual late night hideout spots in Gothenburg, look no further than Kyrkogatan 13. Here you will find Champagnebaren, Unity Jazz and Bar Bruno. Each venue brings its own unique, vibrant and fun twist to the food & drink scene in Gothenburg. One of the many reasons why we love Kyrkogatan 13 is they have always bought local and been independent from the very beginning.
“We are importers ourselves and simply feel a little extra warm feelings for smaller producers who protect the environment and crafts, just like us.”
They have supported us from the start, bought our beer and made it possible for us to live our dream.
At all three bars you can find their house beer “Kyrkogatan 13 Pilsner” a 4,6% Unfiltered Pilsner we made with them, available to taste only at their venues. We definitely recommend trying one of their fantastic cocktails with the Pilsner on the side.
Cosy courtyard setting. Quiet and casual and old part of town. Friendly and knowledgeable service.
Champagnebaren
Everything started with Champagnebaren. Their doors opened in 2012 with the idea to do everything that is unexpected of a Champagne bar. Their focus is to promote grower champagne where small scale and quality are central at a reasonable price in a relaxed setting. In their charming courtyard in the old part of town you can expect to find a large unique selection of grower champagnes, by glass or bottle.
Hugo Hall, Co-Owner of Kyrkogatan 13, says at the beginning it was simply a bar, now it is a seafood restaurant famous for their champagne selection and funnily enough for their crafted cheese and charcuterie plates. In the kitchen, fish and vegetables are the main focus, but they love delicacies in large and small sizes and, of course, you can find local wild oysters. You can read the Champagne List & Food Menu here.
Unity Jazz
Unity jazz opened a few years later, in Autumn 2017. A Jazz Club and Wine Bar with live music from Swedish and international jazz musicians. The bar offers natural wines and a local craft beer selection. Here, the food is season-based and focused mainly on vegetables and cheese. It’s pretty cool to be able to casually pop into a jazz concert in the city center. To see a concert, book a table in the concert room and have some jazz with your dinner.
You can find Unity Jazz upcoming events here.
Bar Bruno
The latest of the three, Bar Bruno opened in September last year (2019). The concept grew from the love of brown liquor. The main idea from the beginning was to have a hangout where you can grab an espresso and liquor as a digestif after dinner. It naturally evolved into what it is now; a modern yet classic cocktail bar. The season-based drinks menu is filled with quality innovative and traditional cocktails using premium ingredients
